Buongiorno Italia! Verona - The City of Romance
When it’s about travelling to Italy, most people immediately think of Rome, Venice or Florence. But there’s a city in the north of Italy that is at least equally as picturesque and romantic as the others are: Verona. And today, I’ll tell you all about this beautiful place on earth! If you’re from Central Europe, heading down to Southern Italy, you pass by Verona on the highway. When spending time at the Lago Di Garda, Verona is just a few minutes from there. Therefore, it’s really easy to access and definitely worth a pit stop, a day trip or even a few days if you’d like to explore it in more detail.
Ciao Lago di Garda: Sirmione, Italy
Welcome back to the blog. A lot has been going on worldwide in the last few months. Today, I want to focus on a country that has been hit hard by the crisis: Italy. People all over the world love visiting the world, and as soon as it is safe again to travel there, Italy is one of the countries that needs tourism the most. Of course, I am not encouraging you to go there if it’s not safe.
Exploring Scotland: Road Trip on the Isle of Skye
Welcome back to the blog and to another blog post to distract you from the current situation and to keep you dreaming and motivated to explore this beautiful world as soon as this nightmare is over. This time, I’ll tell you about a beautiful place up north in Scotland: the Isle of Skye.
A Weekend In Dublin, Ireland
Welcome back to the blog. As I told you last time, I’m not working chronologically on all the blog posts I need to catch up on, but this week I’ll tell you about one more weekend trip I made this winter. I’m talking about my trip to Dublin with a good friend, just before Christmas.
Getting To Know Scandinavia: København, Danmark
Welcome back to the blog, and I hope you all started very good into this new year. A new year means changes, and just in time, I was able to finish the series about the road trip through the US. If you were wondering what would follow after this series, don’t worry, there are lots of travels I haven’t written about yet. This blog posts won’t be published in any specific order, and therefore I’ll start with one of my favourite travels of the year: Copenhagen.
Between Dolphins & Coasts: One Week in Cyprus
It’s Thursday, so welcome back on the blog and to another week with another blog post waiting for you. If you are following my Instagram or kept track of the previous blog posts you know I’m currently in the US and have just started my road trip – well, I hope I have, as I am writing this and some of the following posts in advance. I was well aware that during this trip I won’t have too much time to write, so I prepared as much as I could beforehand. This week I am going to tell you all about the trip I made about a month ago with my best friend: Cyprus.
Scandinavia – God dag Stockholm! Pt. II
Good morning guys and welcome back. Last week I started telling you a bit about my short but sweet stay in Stockholm and this week I’m continuing to do so. I am going to continue exactly where I stopped last time, so be prepared to read all about the following days in Sweden.
Scandinavia – God dag Stockholm!
It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another blog post. As you might have noticed, I’ve been quite on the run the last few weeks, and I’ve visited some very cool places. This week I want to start telling you all about my short but fun trip to the Swedish capital Stockholm. It was my first time in Scandinavia, but I already know it won’t be my last time!
Road Trip Through Southern Italy – From Lecce & Alberobello, Puglia To Matera, Basilicata
Happy Thursday and welcome back on the blog! Last week, I decided to take a little break as it’s been quite stressful coming back from my travels, prepare blogposts and additionally, I was a bit sick, or at least not feeling my best after rushing from one place to another. But today, I am back with the final part about my road trip through southern Italy last year.
Road Trip Through Southern Italy – Bari, Giovinazzo & Monopoli, Puglia
After having been to Naples, Pompeii and Ischia, I dropped my friends off at the station, and later picked up another one, with whom I continued my trip. We headed on to Bari, which was our base for the next days full of exploring Puglia, according to many, the most beautiful part of Italy.
Road Trip Through Southern Italy - Pompeii & Ischia, Campania
Good morning and happy Thursday. Right now, I’m on my way to the airport, heading to Cyprus for a vacation with my best friends, so be prepared for lots of pictures on Instagram (finally again, as I’ve been very busy the last 2 weeks). Today, a new part of the little series where I tell you everything about my 6 months in Italy is ready for you, and I’m continuing right where I stopped last week by telling you about my road trip through Southern Italy, and this time it’s all about Pompeii and Ischia. I know we’re not quite “southern” yet, but rather in central Italy, but don’t worry, the road trip covered that as well.
Road Trip Through Southern Italy – Naples, Campania
I might start with the most important fact – no, Naples is not particularly safe regarding pickpockets and getting robbed. Also, I wouldn’t recommend driving in the city, as I did and even though I was used to the Italian way of driving, it was the most horrible experience you can imagine. Rules simply did not exist on the streets. But I guess that’s what makes Naples unique.
72 Hours in Berlin, Germany Part II
Welcome back to my Berlin guide. Today, I’m going to tell you about all the other places I saw when visiting the city a month ago, and I want to emphasize once more that everything I tell you this time and told you last week is easily done in 3 days.
72 Hours in Berlin, Germany Part I
Last month, I rather spontaneously went to Berlin. The main reason was that I wanted to watch the recording of one of my favourite TV-shows, and as it was just the weekend of Mother’s Day, I was not able to find anyone who would go there with me. But I decided not to let me be stopped by this and went alone. So now let me start right away with everything I’ve done during my three days in the German capital.
Buongiorno Italia! Bella Roma Part II
Welcome back to my little series about the Italian capital. This time I’m focusing on some other main attractions of the city, as well as some personal favourites that might not be on everyone’s list. But enough talking and let’s get right into it!
Buongiorno Italia! Bella Roma Part I
All roads lead to Rome, right?
Well, I'm pretty sure you can imagine, that during my semester abroad in Italy, I frequently went to Rome, not only because it's a beautiful city and I have never been there before, but also because one of my best friends was doing her semester abroad there. When brainstorming on what places I should recommend you, my first thought was 'Everything?!' and therefore, this will only be part one of my series about the beautiful Italian capital.
Buongiorno Italia! Perugia - The Centre of Italy
As you might have already seen on Instagram, in February, I spent a week in Perugia. For me, this city will always hold a special place in my heart, as I lived there for nearly half a year in 2018. Even though, I didn’t know anything beforehand about this city, it turned out to be the best decision ever to go there and I will now tell you exactly why.
Scotland: The Highlands
Welcome back to my little Scotland series. Somehow, the last part of a travel series is always the hardest to write and the one I am delaying the longest, because as soon as it’s over it’s over and I don’t have any more excuses looking at the taken pictures the whole day. But all good things come to an end, right? So, this time, I’ll be talking about the tour through the Scottish Highlands I was on for the last day I spent in Scotland.
Scotland: Edinburgh’s hidden gems & a daytrip to Glasgow
I was very glad to see you enjoyed the first part of my travel guide to Scotland that much, and I can’t wait to tell you even more. Last week, I focused on the main tourist attractions in Edinburgh and today I will tell you more about some spots in the city you might not have heard too much about. I’m also going to tell you a bit about Glasgow, the second largest city of Scotland.
Scotland: Edinburgh’s Highlights
Just the week before Christmas, a friend and I went to visit another friend who’s currently on a student’s exchange year in Edinburgh. To be honest, Scotland has never been high on my list of places I wanted to visit, but in the end, it turned out to be one of my favourite places I have been so far. I’ve always liked the United Kingdom, but I have never been a big fan of London, as I felt like something is missing there, especially when compared to Edinburgh. It’s a big city and a business and commerce hub, but, to me, it lacks a bit of flair, but this is just my personal opinion. (Sophie, on the other hand, loves London and it’s probably one of her favourite cities ever.)
Scotland, however, absolutely amazed me. We stayed for 6 days; so, the little guide I am writing today would be perfect for when you’re visiting Scotland for a week (then it’s not going to be as stressful as our first days, since we tried seeing as much as we could).
