Privacy Policy

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was passed in 2018, which means that we have to inform you about our privacy policy and what we do and can do with your data. If you have any detailed questions, please feel free to contact us at alpsandabroad@gmail.com

The information we may hold includes:

  • name and username

  • email address

  • IP address

  • URL

Personal information can be tracked and held for a couple of reasons:

  • If you contacted us via email, we need your name and email address to get back to you.

  • If you left a comment on our site, this comment and its metadata will be stored forever, unless you decide to remove it personally or ask us to do it for you. To allow comments on Alps and Abroad, we use a website called Disqus. For further information on their privacy policy, click here: https://help.disqus.com/terms-and-policies/disqus-privacy-policy

  • By accessing the site, IP addresses are collected by Squarespace and Google Analytics. This data is analysed to get statistics on page traffic and not to gather personal information. We do not have access to your IP address through Squarespace.

  • The only time your data might be shared with others is during a giveaway.

Your private data belongs to you and is never given nor sold to any third party.
